Strategic planning


At its regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, September 8, 2009, the Greencastle Borough Council approved the Borough of Greencastle Five-Year Strategic Plan. The plan was then referred to the Administration and Finance Committee which will develop the committees and make recommendations for how the plan will be implemented and the status of the plan reported to citizens and Borough Council.

The plan is presented here for your reference. Citizens will note that objectives in the draft plan are prioritized and responsibility assigned to a specific committee or group. Council would like to see interested citizens have an opportunity to serve on the committees which will implement the plan. Citizens who are interested in serving on a committee are asked to contact the Borough Office via e-mail or to call (717.597.7143) or write to the Borough expressing their interest. Borough Council will make the final determination on committee membership.

Council would like to thank all of the citizens who participated in the Town Meeting and who provided additional input through e-mails and letters. Borough Council looks forward to your continued participation in this process as we continue to make Greencastle a great place to work and live.
