Waste Hauler and Burn Ban Survey

Beginning November 1, the Borough of Greencastle will be seeking public input on the issue of a single waste hauler and a potential ban on burning. The survey, accessible on the Borough’s website and Facebook page, will be available November 1 through 30.

The ten question survey is for Borough residents only and can be completed in less than five minutes.

“The Borough has discussed establishing a burn ban for some time,” said Borough Manager Emilee Little, “and the institution of a single waste hauler was presented to Council in early 2021. Our goal with this survey is to gather input from our residents as to their preference and thoughts on both of these important issues.”

Information gathered in the survey will be tabulated, reviewed and presented to Council at a future meeting. Those unable to participate electronically or wishing to complete a paper survey can do so at the Borough office during regular business hours.
