Franklin County Announces New Tax Bill Format
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. (February 16, 2022) – The Franklin County Commissioners today announced that the 2022 real estate tax invoices will be mailed March 1 and will have a new look this year.
While the format of the invoices has changed, all other aspects of the process – including discounts and due dates – remain the same for 2022.
These invoices, which include both county and municipal real estate taxes, will feature an updated format for 2022 that saves space. Invoices will also be mailed in sealed mailers with perforated sides, marked “OFFICIAL REAL ESTATE TAX BILL,” instead of the traditional “windowed” envelopes as in past years.
County leaders and municipal officials anticipate that the modifications made to the real estate tax invoices will create long-term savings and streamline the tax collection process for everyone involved.
The public can view a brief video that explains these changes on the commissioners’ YouTube page, bit.ly/FCTaxChanges. Additional information is also available by contacting the Franklin County Tax Assessment Office at 717-261-3801 or taxservices@franklincountypa.gov.
