PennDOT Roadwork to Begin May 11 on Buchanan Trail West
UPDATE
The resurfacing project on Route 16, Buchanan Trail, is expected to begin Tuesday, May 11.
There will be short-term lane closures Monday through Friday. No lane closures are permitted during peak hours of 6 to 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 to 6 p.m. Motorists should be alert and drive with caution through the work zone.
Work is expected to be completed by September 17, 2021.

(Greencastle, PA) New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company, Inc. has been awarded a contract for roadwork on Route 16 within the Borough beginning in late April. The work includes milling, resurfacing, base repair, guiderail replacement, drainage upgrades, signing and pavement markings, and other construction as outlined in the contract. The project is expected to be complete by mid-September 2021.
“Borough staff are working with project officials to ensure accurate timelines are communicated to our community regarding this project,” said Borough Manager Emilee Little. “As information is relayed to us, we will share this with our residents via our website and Facebook page.”

Free Trees Available in Honor of Arbor Day 2021
In honor of Arbor Day 2021, the Borough has free Red Spruce pine trees available upon request. Trees are individually packaged and come with planting instructions. If you would like a tree they are available during Borough office hours, one per customer, while supplies last.
