The Greencastle Borough Council will hold its regular monthly meeting on Monday, July 6, 2026, beginning at 7:00 p.m. in Borough Hall. Doors will open at 6:45 p.m.

Fireworks Prohibited
As the July 4th holiday approaches, the Borough of Greencastle reminds residents and visitors that the use of consumer fireworks is prohibited within the Borough limits.
These regulations were adopted by Borough Council in 2023 (Ordinance No. 2023-03) after determining that consumer fireworks cannot be used within the Borough while complying with the minimum separation distances required by Pennsylvania law.
Violations of the ordinance may be enforced by the Greencastle Police Department or the Borough's Code Enforcement Officer. A first offense is subject to a $500 fine, with subsequent offenses carrying fines of up to $1,000, in addition to any other penalties authorized by law.

🌳🏛️ Town Hall Plaza Project – Construction Bidding Now Open 🏛️🌳
The Borough of Greencastle is pleased to announce that the final phase of the Town Hall Plaza Project has officially been advertised for construction bids.
This exciting project will transform the lot on the southwest corner of East Baltimore Street and South Washington Street into a public gathering space in the heart of downtown Greencastle. The improvements include site work, utility work, hardscape features, landscaping, lighting, and associated work as detailed in the bidding documents.
Sealed bids will be accepted until 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 24, 2026, at the Borough Office, 60 North Washington Street, Greencastle, PA 17225. Bids will be publicly opened immediately following the submission deadline.
A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at project site. Contractors are encouraged to attend.
